Interior design is more than just aesthetics. It’s about finding creative design solutions for interior environments while supporting the health, safety and well being of occupants and enhancing their quality of life.

Following a systematic and coordinated methodology including research, analysis and integration of knowledge into the creative process, interior design is a multi-faceted profession whereby the needs and resources of the client are satisfied to create an interior space that fulfils the project goals.

Qualified through a rigorous process of education, experience and examination, Interior Design students are skilled at assisting clients realize their goals, creating built environments that are both functional and aesthetically attractive.


Admission to the course of Interior Design (B.Des) is done on the merit and eligibility criteria of individual colleges. Unlike Architecture which has one common entrance test, Interior Design admissions are done on basis of the merit of Entrance Examinations conducted by the respective colleges.

The entrance test is based on creative aptitude and general aptitude of students to give a fair role to the meritorious students often followed by the second round of interviews and portfolio presentation.

Chintan Dave Centre provides extensive coaching for the entrance examintions to the field of Interior Design. The teaching module emphasizes on rigorous training of each student making sure his/her understanding has been developed at a required level and beyond.

The course developed thus revolves around the overall concepts of Interior Design, the materials, the technologies, colors, patterns and textures. The program is structured to allow students to understand human habitation by exposure to different contexts through various means like in-class live like experiences, field trips, working with craft and models and case studies.
